RC Cola-PAF Finish at Third Place

“Yung panalo namin sa kanila mas importante kasi placing ito for third and fourth,” stated RC Cola-Air Force coach Rhovyl Verayo, who has since moved on from his team’s devastating defeat to Cignal HD in the second round. “Placing kung sino aakyat sa podium, yun ang laban namin ngayon,”

Generika Enters the Finals Yet Again

A near mirror of the first semifinals fixture earlier, Generika edged past the Raiders in the first set before taking control of the second frame. Stephanie Mercado gave her squad the go-ahead point in the final frame with an open side attack, 23-22, before Natalia Korobkova closed it out with two of her 12 attack points.

“Hindi ko alam sa RC (Cola-PAF) kung bakit ganon ang game nila today. Generika Holds on For the Win Against Gallant Raiders

With the triumph, they were able to secure a semifinals meeting against the Raiders. Before that though, they will go up against Petron in Laguna on November 26 to close out their elimination round sched.

“Sa init,” explained coach Ramil de Jesus on why his wards lost steam in the middle set. “Ang ganda ng energy ng first two sets. Sabay ito namang Air Force, slow start biglang aarangkada.”

“Kahit papaano, nakita na may kapit pala ang team namin,” de Jesus referred to his players’ resolve in recovering and emerging in the clutch.
