F2 Logistics Cargo Movers Sizzle In First Game

The Cargo Movers join returning RC Cola-Army at the top spot as opening day winners, but F2 Logistics coach Mayie Molit-Prochina admitted that her wards were still a bit tense at the start of the match that lasted for an hour and 14 minutes.

“Masaya of course kasi ngayon lang kami nabuo talaga,” she said. “Pero ‘yun nga ang first set namin kanina sobrang tense pa ang mga bata gigil na gigil pa sila.”

“Happy ako kasi ang team owner namin gusto talaga manalo,” she added. “Fulfilling lang kasi two weeks lang kami nag-ensayo.”

RC Cola-Army Crush Foton

“It’s good to be back. Parang kahapon lang yung huling laro namin dito,” said RC Cola-Army coach Kungfu Reyes shortly after their 44-minute domination. “We are very excited to play our first game after a three-conference absence. Everything looks familiar. It really feels good to be home.”

Also making a homecoming is Daquis, who towed Petron to a pair of titles before going back to Army. “There was really no adjustment,” she said. “I spent a total nine years with Army right after college. So I played more relaxed and more comfortable in my first game with them after a long while.”

The Lady Troopers jumped the gun early and raced to an 11-0 start in the second set. With Foton struggling on both ends, Tubino and Gonzaga imposed their might as the Lady Troopers completely smothered the Toplanders to enter the deciding set overflowing with confidence.

Powerhouse RC Cola Army Return to PSL

But RC Cola-Army coach Kungfu Reyes toned down the expectations, saying that their age could also be their biggest disadvantage.

“Yes, we dominated (the league), but that was three years ago. A lot of things already happened, a lot of young players already got stronger,” said Reyes, emphasizing that Salak, Carolino, Bunag and Balse are no longer getting any younger.

“It’s now an entirely different ballgame. Ibang-iba na ang sitwasyon ngayon kesa sa sitwasyon noon. medyo tumanda na din kami.”
