Mane ‘N Tail dominated the Generika Lifesavers with a straight set sweep, 25-22, 25-15, 25-21, on November 9 at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay to end its 2014 Philippine SuperLiga Grand Prix women’s division first round schedule with two wins.
Kristy Jaeckel needed only to produce 26 points (22 attack points, one block, three service aces) this time around as her squad concluded the contest in 74 minutes. Michiko Castaneda, Kaylee Manns, and Lilet Mabbayad all had six markers.
Francis Vicente outcoached Ramil de Jesus as the former was able to prepare an effective battle plan to counter Generika’s tactics, which he stated was predictable. MNT begins the second round against Foton on Wednesday.
Natalia Korobkova was at the forefront for the Lifesavers with 12 points, while Abigail Marano contributed ten. They will close out the first round against Cignal on November 12.
